Which ad sold that job?

Pick any sold job and see the campaign, keyword, call or page that produced it. Pick any campaign and see the jobs and revenue it sold. Lead tracking and CRM integration for roofing and exterior contractors, with nothing guessed.

30+ years in software and marketing. The last 5 as the go-to tech partner for a major roofing, siding, windows and gutters contractor with a solar division.

  • 30 lead forms consolidated into 2, live site-wide
  • Lead attribution, referral payouts and warranty certificates built as custom systems
  • Earlier work for Intel, AT&T, Oracle and Siemens

Sound familiar?

Can you trust your lead source numbers?

For most contractors the honest answer is "not really." Here's where it usually breaks.

  • Your CRM says "Google." Google what?

Leads come in tagged "Google," "Website" or blank. The campaign, keyword and page behind them are lost, so cost per sold job by campaign is a guess.

  • The phone rings, and the source is lost.

Calls are often a contractor's biggest lead channel. If call tracking isn't tied to your CRM, nobody knows which ad made the phone ring.

  • Leads disappear without anyone noticing.

A form looks submitted, but the lead never reaches the CRM. No error, no alert. You paid for that click and never got the chance to call back.

  • Sold amounts never make it back to marketing.

Your job software knows what sold and for how much. Your marketing reports don't. Staff re-key data between HubSpot, Leap (JobProgress) and spreadsheets, and revenue by source never adds up.

  • Referral payouts and warranties live in spreadsheets.

Tracked by hand, they produce duplicates, missed payouts and gaps in the records, and no one fully trusts the totals.

What I build

Systems that connect your marketing to your sold jobs, and take the manual work out of everything in between.

  • Lead tracking and attribution

Trace every sold job back to the ad that produced it.

Web forms and tracked calls (CallRail, CallTrackingMetrics and similar) capture the source of every lead. Your CRM then keeps it through appointment, sale and sold amount.

  • CRM integration

Keep your CRM and job software in sync.

Whether you run Leap (JobProgress), JobNimbus, AccuLynx, ServiceTitan, HubSpot, Salesforce or a custom CRM, leads, job status and sold amounts move between your systems automatically. No double entry, and nothing fails without someone hearing about it.

  • Custom software and automation

Replace the spreadsheets with tools built for how you work.

For example, a referral program that tracks every referral and pays out automatically, or warranty certificates issued and transferred without paperwork.

I also build the fast Webflow websites your team can update without a developer, and run the cloud infrastructure that keeps it all online.

Selected work

Built for a major roofing, siding, windows and gutters contractor with a solar division. Full write-ups available on request.

  • Lead source tracking

    Problem
Lead source data was inaccurate, 30 different web forms fed the CRM, and sold jobs couldn't be traced back to marketing.
    What I built
Rebuilt the lead attribution system end to end: source capture on web forms and tracked calls, plus the HubSpot workflows that stamp each lead's channel and credit each deal.
    Result
30 lead forms consolidated into 2, with source capture live on every form site-wide. Call tracking and deal crediting built and validated in staging.
  • Referral program platform

    Problem
The referral program ran on a spreadsheet. Duplicate and fraudulent payouts slipped through, and staff checked every job's status in the CRM by hand.
    What I built
A referral portal with five automatic fraud and duplicate checks, and payouts triggered by job status in HubSpot and Leap (JobProgress).
    Result
A referral can never be paid twice, and staff handle only flagged exceptions. Live from January 2026, expanded to the solar division and other trades through configuration, not new code.
  • Roofing warranty platform

    Problem
Warranty certificates were made by hand, records were scattered, and transferring a warranty when a home sold took emails and phone calls.
    What I built
A warranty system that generates and emails certificates with tier-specific legal terms, plus a self-serve ownership transfer with one finance approval.
    Result
In daily use by the office, marketing and finance teams from May 2025. Homeowners got their certificate as soon as the warranty was registered.

Start with a lead tracking audit

Before anything is built, you get a written answer to one question: where is your lead source data breaking, and what would it take to trace every sold job back to its source?

What I review

  • How leads reach your CRM today: web forms, calls, chat and lead services
  • Where the source gets lost, overwritten or never captured
  • How many recent sold jobs can be traced back to a campaign, and how many can't
  • Where ad spend isn't turning into appointments or sales, as far as the data allows

How it works

  • About 2 weeks
  • Fixed fee, quoted after a short call
  • Read-only access, granted by invite. No shared passwords.
  • NDA on request
  • Nothing in your live systems changes until you approve the plan

What you get

A written report, not a dashboard: what works, what's broken, and a step-by-step plan to fix it, with priorities and costs.

This is for you if you're a roofing or exterior contractor spending real money on ads, you run a CRM, and you can't say with confidence which campaigns produce sold jobs.

Not a fit if you're looking for someone to run ads without tracking, or you only need a new website.

How I work

  1. Written assessment first.

You see the plan, priorities and cost before anything is built.

  2. Never guess.

If the data isn't there, the report says so. No made-up numbers to fill a field.

  3. Tested end to end.

Every lead path is tested from first click or call to sold job before it goes live.

  4. Nothing fails silently.

Errors are logged, retried and reported, so a lost lead gets noticed the same day.

  5. Every decision documented.

You keep the notes, the setup and the reasons, whether or not you keep me.

Questions contractors ask

What does the audit cost?

A fixed fee, quoted after a short call. It depends on how many websites, lead sources and systems you run. You know the full price before any work starts.

What access do you need?

Read-only access, by invitation, to your ad accounts, call tracking, website forms and CRM (or an export of sold and lost jobs). No shared passwords. NDA on request.

What if the audit finds nothing?

Then you have written confirmation your tracking works, and you've paid only the audit fee. No obligation to continue.

Do you manage Google Ads?

My focus is the tracking that shows which ads sell jobs. I work alongside your agency or in-house team and give them data to act on. If you want help with the account itself, we can discuss it after the audit.

Can I hire you through Upwork?

Yes. If you found me on Upwork, message me there, and we'll keep everything on Upwork until a contract is in place.

What hours do you work, and how do we communicate?

9 to 5 US Eastern, by email and scheduled video calls. I reply within one business day.
